"Recognizing that the true merit of a
profession is determined by the value of its services to society, the California Land
Surveyors Association does hereby dedicate itself to the promotion and protection of the
profession of land surveying as a social and economic influence vital to the welfare of
society, community, and state".
"The purpose of this organization is to promote the
common good and welfare of its members in their activities in the profession of land
surveying, to promote and maintain the highest possible standards of professional ethics
and practices, to promote professional uniformity, to promote public faith and dependence
in the Land Surveyors and their work".
